 즉 일어날 때 무의식적으로 하는 발기를 뜻합니다. Morning Wood가 더 흔히 쓰이고 그리 흔한 표현인 것 같진 않습니다. 노엘도 처음 들었을 때 무슨 말인지 몰랐다고 합니다. DM 투어 당시 미국에서 만났던 여자가 "Hey, what's the story? Morning glory?" 하고 인사했는데, 무슨 말인지 몰라서 나중에 미국 기자한테 물어봤답니다. 근데 그 기자도 몰라서... 근데 어케 앨범명이 된 거지??? 또 사전에는 영국식 영어라고 못박아져 있습니다. ???

 좀 이따 깨워달라는 말 하잖아요? 일어나기 싫고 막... 그 감정을 표현한 게 "Need a little time to wake up"입니다. 물론 텐트가 가라앉지 않았을 수도 있고요. 저는 위에 텐트 질문에 대한 대답으로 해석했습니다. 본인은 별 의미 없다지만, 마약에 관한 이야기라고 말한 적이 있습니다. 그렇다면 가사에 쓰인 동사 Chain은 세 가지 의미가 있습니다. '줄지어 놓다, 화학 작용을 일으키다, 의존의 사슬에 묶이다'로 해석되는데, 첫째는 코카인을 흡입할 때 한 줄로 세워 코로 킁가킁가하는 모습을(주로 화장실 세면대 앞에서 했다는데, 가사의 거울과도 연관됩니다), 둘째는 마약이 일으킨 화학 작용, 셋째는 마약이라는 사슬에 묶인 자신을 묘사했다고 추측합니다. 이러한 맥락에서 "세계가 주목하는 오늘날"은 마약이 촉발한 고양감과 자아도취라 해석됩니다.
